What We Believe

We believe British society is spiritually sick, and dreadful symptoms of this are physically manifesting at a dire rate. For God to heal our land, we believe Christians -- regardless of what other people are doing in the land -- must recognise this and take action by humbling ourselves, praying, seeking God's face, and turning from our wicked ways. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The Bible documents many times this has been done successfully in the past and the grace God has extended to nations, in particular His own people, by listening to an intercessor. Let us thank the Lord God that He has declared a clear solution and that He never changes. (Hebrews 13:8). How exciting to know all these issues have a very real and achievable solution!

Humbling Ourselves

Many Britons are under the illusion that the problems facing Britain can be fixed by us. We all have our own views on the right way to handle the economy, law and order, healthcare, education, migration, foreign affairs and so on. (Proverbs 21:2)

In reality we are at God's mercy and cannot vote our way out of this, neither protest nor activism will help, neither can we rely on our own good deeds, wealth, intelligence or physical might. (Psalm 20:7, 44:6).

Gods grace is the only thread keeping us from ruin and it is He who fights for us. (Exodus 14:14). He is the only real solution and the only one who can provide genuine healing to our land. We must embrace His will and trust in His plan.

Let us pray and intercede in the hope He will not forsake us but save our land, as He saved other places on many occasions when their believers repented. (Jonah 3:10)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, have mercy on the United Kingdom, grant Britain's Christians the grace of humility, that in sincere humility we may seek your will, serve and be a blessing to others with love, and walk in the footsteps of Christ. May You increase while we decrease.

Ignite in Britain a fervent desire to seek Your presence in prayer and a longing to seek Your face diligently. May our hearts hunger for Your presence, drawing us closer to You each day. Strengthen our faith as we commit to spending more time in Your divine presence.

Grant British Christians the courage to turn away from our sins and seek Your forgiveness. May Your grace empower us to walk in righteousness and live according to Your will. Help us to embrace repentance and strive for purity of heart. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Seeking God's Face

Seeking God is done through prayer and also searching the scriptures and getting to know Him through the Holy Spirit, having a personal and intimate relationship with him. (1 Chronicles 16:11). We are told in Exodus 33:11 that the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

This is what we should be seeking with our whole heart: listening to Him through His words and his Holy Spirit within us, and speaking to Him in prayer - having a regular back and forth relationship as a man speaks to his friend, and oh what a friend we have in Jesus! (John 15:14)

We are commanded to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and study to have His words written on your heart with the hopes that we will finally get to see the glory of God in His magnificent face. (Deuteronomy 4:29)

Turning from Our Wicked Ways

This might be the most difficult of the steps because it requires introspection, conviction, strength, courage, faith and self control to bring about change within ourselves and our churches, but do not be discouraged, through Christ all things are possible, He has overcome the world. (Philippians 4:13)

Wicked ways are different from sins, because sins can often be done in ignorance, but wickedness implies that the sins are from intentional disobedience. (Psalm 19:12-13) The Bible often describes enemies of God as wicked, so we must avoid their ways (Psalm 34:21) and from tolerating sin within the church when we know what the word of God says about it. (Psalm 26:5)

Here is a short non-exhaustive list of some possible sins that the church needs to turn from: tolerating and even celebrating sins or other paths that contradict the word of God, using churches for personal profit, idolatry, heresy, and abuse. Assess ways that need to change, and we pray you lobby for this with the truth, grace and love of our Lord Jesus.

When we sin it drives a wedge between us and God, who has given us His commandments for our own benefit. Sinning causes damage to our nation and theres is a real risk when we do not listen to chastisement and walk contrary to God of provoking judgement and disaster. (Leviticus 26:27-28)
